Finding a Toilet that Works for You

Greetings! Here's hoping you had a Happy Valentine's day....

I laughed when I read the title of this article, but I think it’s great advice.

Here you go:

Finding a Toilet that Works for You

Modern toilets are required to use less water to flush in order to improve efficiency and conservation. But, some of these new toilets have been found to need a double flush to get the job done. This can be annoying, if not embarrassing, and defeats the purpose of reducing water usage.

Recent tests have revealed missed results on the flushing power of the new toilets so consumers need to be cautious. Before buying a new toilet, find out if the model has passed a “maximum performance test”. This test determines if the quantity of water used can handle an average flushing job, rather than merely comply with allowable usage. Also, check if the toilet uses a standard tank flapper. If it doesn’t, you may end up replacing it with a flap that uses too much water – again defeating its purpose!
